Target data funds are doing a good job of generating attractive returns and protecting investors from inappropriately trying to time the market. So reports Bloomberg.

Morningstar estimates that the funds have generated an average annual return of 5% over the past 10 years, which is respectable considering that the portfolios are a mix of bonds and equities.
